Chamilia - How to's
There are just three simple steps to creating the Chamilia bracelet design you desire! Follow steps 1-3 below.
Step 1: Select a Style & Length
Chamilia carries bracelets in multiple sizes for your convenience! Choose from 6.0”, 6.7”, 7.1”, 7.5”, 7.9”, 8.3”, 8.7”, 9.1”, and 9.5” bracelet lengths.
Please Note Some Chamilia bracelet styles are not available in all sizes listed above. Example: toggle and leather bracelet styles.
How do I determine what Chamilia bracelet is the correct size for me?
Chamilia beads do take up room on your bracelet, so once it is full of beautiful beads, it will fit tighter than it does when it is empty.
To figure out if you are getting the right size bracelet, you should measure your wrist and add about one inch to the length of your wrist. This will leave adequate room to fill your bracelet with beads.
Hint for Men Shoppers Measure one of her bracelets or watches hanging around the house to get the size of her wrist, then add one inch to that length and you will know which is the perfect size Chamilia bracelet!
If you don’t have a flexible measuring tool to wrap around your wrist, you can always use a piece of string to wrap around your wrist, instead. Wrap the string, and make sure you leave enough room so that you can put two fingers between the string and your wrist. Wiggle those two fingers around a little bit to make sure you have enough room for Chamilia beads!
Step 2: Select Your Desired Chamilia Beads
Design your bracelet by a style, theme or a color. Chamilia offers a huge variety of beads in so many different color and style options, you can make your Chamilia design show your personality!
There are endless ways for you to assemble your Chamilia jewelry to create different looks.
- Theme
Many bead bracelet shoppers choose Chamilia beads because the offer beads with particular themes – family for example. Make your bracelet all about your family by choosing birthstones of certain family members, bead that remind you of a certain family member or occasion etc. - Color
Chamilia has a large array of beads in all colors. Do you wear a certain color almost everyday of the week, or just have a color that is your absolute favorite? Make your Chamilia bracelet design show your true “colors!” - Repeating Pattern
Choose a series of 3-4 Chamilia beads to repeat. This will give your design a well structured, balanced look. Perfect for a formal event, or a bracelet that you can wear to the office everyday. - Focal Point
Select one bead to act as a central focal point. Example: If you don’t want to be too flashy, choose all sterling silver beads and make just the center bead a colored stone bead to make it really pop out from the rest. - Random
Choose the beads that you like or are important to you, and just place them in any order and give your Chamilia design a whimsical touch! - Spacers
Spacers are an inexpensive way to add to your bead collection and bring interest into your pattern. They are also a great way to make a center bead stand out amongst the rest!
Step 3: Assemble Your Chamilia Jewelry
Thread your beads onto your bracelet by twisting each one onto the bracelet chain. You can finish your design with a lock or safety chain for a little added security.
Using Locks
Chamilia Locks can be added to each end of any group of beads to prevent the Chamilia beads from sliding around freely on your design; additionally, they can be used in other unique ways to create the final look you desire.
Locks have silicone on the inside of them, so when you lift the lever and open your lock up, you can re-clamp it anywhere on your Chamilia design. Use your locks at the end of your bracelet to prevent other beads from falling off, or place locks sporadically on your bracelet and keep groups of beads separated as you like!
Safety Chains
Safety locks come with a chain attachment to provide you with added security for your treasured Chamilia jewelry. There are 2 lock type mechanisms on either end of a connecting chain. Once you have your Chamilia design put together, un-clasp each end of the safety chain and clip one clasp over each end of your Chamilia bracelet (one near the end of bracelet, and one near the closure on the bracelet).
Slip your hand through the safety chain, clasp the closure on your Chamilia bracelet and you are ready to roll!
